Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans using Siemens and Toshiba (Canon) Aquilion systems, delivering clear diagnostic images
- Operate CT equipment safely and follow imaging protocols for routine and cardiac studies
- Provide compassionate patient care — explain procedures, ensure comfort, and monitor patient safety throughout exams
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and the Allied Health team to optimize exam protocols and outcomes
- Document imaging exams and patient information accurately in Cerner
- Maintain equipment readiness and participate in routine QA checks and safety practices
- Respond appropriately in emergency situations using current BLS skills
Qualifications
- BLS (AHA) certification (current)
- Certified CT Technologist — ARRT (CT)
- Valid California CRT license
- Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience
- Hands-on experience with Siemens CT equipment (required)
- Experience with Toshiba (Canon) Aquilion 64/16 a plus
- Cardiac CT experience preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Siemens CT platforms and familiar with Toshiba (Canon) Aquilion scanners
- Skilled in cardiac CT protocols and advanced imaging techniques (preferred)
- Strong patient positioning, image acquisition, and radiation safety practices
- Comfortable charting and documentation in Cerner
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced acute care setting
- Ability to follow QA procedures and maintain equipment readiness
