Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate patient care during overnight hours and respond to changing patient needs
• Perform timely assessments, administer medications, and document care accurately in the patient record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and adjust patient care plans
• Provide patient and family education with empathy and clear communication
• Monitor and escalate clinical changes appropriately to ensure patient safety
• Support unit flow and handoffs for seamless shift transitions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — New Mexico license or compact privileges preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications encouraged where applicable
• Demonstrated ability to manage a full clinical assignment during overnight shifts with strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Professional attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and triage for acute and chronic conditions
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Proficient documentation and electronic health record (EHR) use
• Infection prevention, safety protocols, and patient-centered care practices
• Prioritization and time management during busy overnight shifts
