Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients at the bedside
• Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and communicate changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to create and execute effective care plans
• Document patient care thoroughly and maintain accurate medical records
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Support unit operations by helping orient travelers, covering shifts, and contributing to a positive workplace culture

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or ability to obtain state licensure promptly
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS) as required by unit
• Experience working in acute care settings preferred; adaptable to facility protocols
• Willingness to work 12+ hour day shifts and provide reliable coverage for the assignment
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and credentialing checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (subject to facility requirements)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Effective communication and teamwork with patients, families, and staff
• Comfortable with electronic medical record charting and documentation
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
