Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality direct patient care for adults and/or geriatric patients
• Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and communicate changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and execute patient-centered care plans
• Educate patients and their families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Document care clearly and timely in the facility electronic medical record and follow facility policies

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maine (as applicable)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (facility may require upon start)
• Comfortable working 8-hour day shifts with rotating weekends in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Professional attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work well in a team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Safe medication administration and documentation practices
• Basic IV therapy knowledge and familiarity with common nursing procedures
• Clear, compassionate patient and family education skills
• Effective teamwork and communication within interdisciplinary teams
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate charting
