Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility with dignity and compassion
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Provide attentive, hands-on care while maintaining a safe and clean environment
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
• Support admissions, discharges and transfers to ensure smooth transitions
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Observe and report behavioral or clinical changes to help the care team respond quickly

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state registry preferred)
• CNA experience in long-term care or related settings is a strong plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Proof of required immunizations and ability to pass facility background checks
• Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and comfortable assisting with ADLs
• Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families and the care team
• Time management, teamwork, and the ability to follow care plans
• Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn facility systems
