Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and respond quickly to changes in rhythm or clinical condition
• Deliver direct patient care within the Telemetry unit scope and prioritize patient safety
• Communicate effectively with physicians about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results
• Teach and coach patients and families on condition management and discharge instructions
• Guide and support other nursing personnel to maintain standards of care on your shift
• Document patient assessments, interventions and responses accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Current and valid California RN license (state RN license required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
• DCI/BVP certification listed as a required certification
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and required health screenings per employer policy (COVID-19 vaccine, TB test, etc.)
• Successful completion of competency and specialty exams as part of onboarding

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
• Strong nursing assessment and critical thinking skills
• Skilled in patient/family education and clear clinical communication
• Ability to implement and evaluate individualized care plans
• Familiarity with ventilator basics (preferred) and acute care workflows
• Comfortable with documentation, diagnostic result review, and care coordination
