Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement and evaluate
• Provide direct critical care in the ICU, including hemodynamic monitoring and rapid response to changes
• Communicate clearly and proactively with physicians and the care team about patient condition and abnormal findings
• Guide and educate patients and families to support understanding and recovery
• Document care accurately while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
• Support and mentor other nursing personnel during your shift, ensuring standards of care are met

Qualifications

• Current and valid California RN license (required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• CPI certification (required)
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting, critical care preferred
• CCRN certification preferred (not required)
• COVID-19 vaccination and boosters preferred per facility policy
• Successful completion of required Prime exams and skills checklists (Basic Pharmacology, Rhythm Interpretation, Core Competencies, Specialty)
• Ability to complete Nursys license verification and standard pre-employment health screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and acute care clinical judgment
• Hands-on critical care nursing experience including hemodynamic monitoring
• Skilled in direct ICU patient care and complex interventions
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary team, patients and families
• Familiarity with maintaining patient privacy, confidentiality and documentation standards
• Comfort with specialty competency testing and ongoing skills validation
