Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients using a thorough telemetry-focused nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Provide direct patient care and maintain standards of care in the Telemetry Unit
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly communicate clinical changes to physicians
• Implement and evaluate individualized care plans and document care in Epic EMR
• Lead patient and family teaching to encourage understanding and safe transitions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, timely care
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment responses

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred
• Ability to pass required health screenings and competency exams

• Telemetry and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Familiarity with Epic EMR workflows and documentation best practices
• Clear communication with physicians, patients, and families
• Infection control, medication administration, and emergency response
