Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data and promptly communicate changes to the care team
• Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to adjust treatment plans and ensure patient safety
• Provide patient and family education, coaching them through care plans and recovery expectations
• Lead and guide other nursing personnel during shifts to uphold ICU standards of care
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and emergent situations
• Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality and thorough documentation in EPIC EMR

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license (state license required)
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a staff RN in acute care / critical care
• BLS and ACLS required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• CCRN certification preferred
• DCI/BVP certification listed among required certifications
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred (per facility policy)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills in the ICU setting
• Proven ability in care planning, implementation and evaluation
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and interpreting diagnostic results
• Effective communication with physicians, patients and families
• Ability to respond calmly and accurately to rapid changes in patient condition
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR and accurate clinical documentation
• Commitment to patient privacy, safety and high-quality care standards
