Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based ICU care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Provide direct patient care and continuously monitor hemodynamic status and diagnostic results
• Communicate changes in patient condition clearly and promptly to the care team and physicians
• Guide and educate patients and families, making complex information understandable and actionable
• Lead and support other nursing personnel while maintaining ICU standards of care
• Respond quickly and accurately to clinical changes and adapt care plans accordingly
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting, with critical care experience
• MEPIC EMR experience required
• CCRN certification preferred
• DCI/BVP certification listed in required certifications
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred

Education

• Current and valid state RN license (education level not specified)

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing best practices and ICU workflows
• Proficiency with MEPIC EMR
• Patient assessment and care planning skills
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpreting diagnostic data
• Patient and family education techniques
• Basic rhythm interpretation and pharmacology knowledge as tested in required screenings
