Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement and evaluate
• Provide direct telemetry patient care and continuous cardiac monitoring
• Communicate clinical changes and diagnostic results promptly with physicians and the care team
• Lead patient and family education to promote understanding and recovery
• Guide and support other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the telemetry unit
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment responses
• Document care, interventions and patient responses clearly and professionally

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license
• Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) required
• Current ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) required
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications listed as required
• Previous acute care hospital experience (telemetry experience preferred)
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination preferred
• Nursys registration/verification as part of licensing checks

• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring expertise
• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Care planning, implementation and evaluation skills
• Clear, timely communication with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Patient and family education techniques
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and respond to urgent changes in condition
