Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with hygiene, mobility, feeding, and toileting needs
- Accurately document resident care and report changes in condition to nursing staff
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe, clean environment
- Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and complete required skills checklists
- Support interdisciplinary team communication to promote resident-centered care
- Respect resident dignity and privacy while promoting independence
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (state-appropriate) required
- BLS certification required
- Ability to pass Trinity specialty competency testing and Trinity skills checklist
- Completion of required health screenings and vaccinations (PPD/IGRA, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza)
- Successful completion of background checks, 10-panel drug screen, and license/certificate verification
- Previous long-term care or home health experience preferred but not required
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care and bedside skills for assisting with ADLs
- Solid infection control and safety practices
- Clear verbal and written communication for documentation and team updates
- Basic mobility and transfer techniques
- Comfortable with competency-based testing and ongoing skills validation
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to work collaboratively
