Shift Type: Per Diem Pool - variable shifts (days, evenings, nights and weekends); schedule as needed (PRN/per diem)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care consistent with LPN scope and Mercy LIFE standards
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while documenting per policy
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient responses, escalating concerns promptly
- Support interdisciplinary team communication to coordinate excellent care
- Complete Trinity skills checklist and specialty competency testing as required
- Maintain required health screenings and vaccination status to ensure a safe environment
- Contribute to a positive, respectful atmosphere for patients, families and colleagues
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Successful completion of license and certificate verification
- Comfort with Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings per facility requirements (PPD/IGRA, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, influenza)
- Ability to work per diem shifts in a pool model and adapt to variable schedules
Education
- LPN diploma or vocational nursing certificate from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong fundamentals in medication administration and documentation
- Good assessment skills for monitoring patient condition and recognizing changes
- Infection control practices and adherence to screening protocols
- Clear communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary care settings
- Comfort with completing competency checklists and following facility protocols
- Professionalism, reliability, and a patient-centered attitude
