Roles & Responsibilities
- Interpret diagnostic imaging across modalities including XR, CT, MR, US, fluoroscopy and nuclear medicine with accuracy and timeliness
- Perform light interventional procedures such as image-guided biopsies and drainages to provide definitive care when needed
- Conduct diagnostic lumbar punctures, myelograms and arthrograms with attention to patient comfort and safety
- Collaborate with emergency, pediatric and neurologic teams to support acute care and subspecialty needs
- Deliver clear, actionable reports and communicate results to referring clinicians in a timely manner
- Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with institutional policies, safety protocols and documentation standards
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
- Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
- Active or eligible for Pennsylvania medical license (ability to obtain state licensure required)
- Experience with CT, MR, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine and mammography
- Comfortable performing light IR procedures including image-guided biopsies and drainages
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinicians and support staff
Education
- MD or DO
- Completion of Diagnostic Radiology residency
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven skills in cross-sectional imaging (CT and MR) and ultrasound interpretation
- Fluoroscopy and image-guided procedural competence
- Familiarity with nuclear medicine protocols and mammography diagnostic procedures
- Ability to handle a mixed case load including ER, neuro, pediatric and breast diagnostic cases
- Experience with PACS, RIS and electronic medical record systems
- Good clinical judgment, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
