Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all instruments, supplies, and the DaVinci robotic system are ready for procedures
• Assist surgical team during cases across ortho, total joints, general surgery, robotics, urology, vascular and basic neuro procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and enforce OR aseptic protocols to protect patient safety
• Operate and troubleshoot specialty equipment such as endovascular tools and neurospine microscopes
• Document case details accurately in the Altera EMR and communicate post-op needs to the care team
• Participate in call coverage and support the team during emergent or unscheduled procedures

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• BLS certification required for STs (maintain current credentials)
• Minimum 2 years of OR surgical technologist experience (experience with ortho/total joints preferred)
• Hands-on experience with robotics (DaVinci) and basic endovascular skills strongly preferred
• Comfortable supporting a range of specialties including orthopedics, urology, general surgery and neuro
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced OR and participate in call rotations

Education

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in surgical instrumentation and sterile processing
• Familiarity with DaVinci robotic system and basic robotic setup
• Experience in endovascular suite workflows and vascular procedures
• Knowledge of neurospine microscope use and basic neuro cases
• Comfort using Altera EMR for perioperative documentation
• Strong communication, teamwork, and situational awareness in the OR
