Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in spine and joint procedures (spine fusions, ALIFs, total joint replacements) with excellent sterile technique
• Prepare and maintain instrumentation and implants for complex orthopedic cases
• Anticipate surgeon needs during cases to keep the room flowing and patient care seamless
• Document case details and assist with Meditech EMR workflow
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure safe patient transitions and efficient turnover
• Participate in call rotations and adapt to scheduling needs with a flexible, team-first attitude

Qualifications

• CST / Surgical Technologist (CST) — active and current
• Active DORA and NBSTA certifications (required — candidates without these will not be considered)
• Minimum 2 years OR experience (experience field lists 2)
• Proven spine scrub and joint scrub experience (spine and joint cases emphasized)
• Comfortable with Meditech EMR and standard OR documentation
• Flexible, reliable, and able to participate in call rotations

Education

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) required; DORA and NBSTA certifications must be active

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and OR protocols
• Familiarity with spine and orthopedic instrumentation and implants
• Ability to support complex spine procedures and total joint replacements
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced OR environment
• Meditech EMR proficiency for charting and perioperative documentation
• Attention to detail for instrument tracking and implant management
