Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and instrumentation for cardiovascular procedures
• Assist surgeons during CABG, AAA repairs, valve replacements and TAVR procedures
• Operate and troubleshoot Stryker and GE OR equipment safely and efficiently
• Document procedure details and patient information accurately in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate closely with RNs and the CV team to deliver 1:1 patient care
• Support teammates by floating between campuses (including Swedish) when needed
• Participate in call coverage as required and communicated during hiring

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - required
• Minimum 3 years experience in cardiovascular surgery (explicit requirement)
• Proven experience with CABG, AAA, valve replacement and TAVR procedures
• Comfortable floating to partner campuses and working within a close-knit CV team
• Flexible, confident, and a strong team-player as noted in the unit profile

Education

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Meditech EMR for documentation and workflows
• Familiarity with Stryker and GE surgical equipment and OR systems
• Strong sterile technique, instrument handling and procedural setup skills
• Knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and intraoperative priorities
• Clear communication and teamwork skills in a high-acuity OR environment
