Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid assessment and triage to prioritize care in a fast-paced ED setting
• Manage ER holds effectively to ensure safe patient flow and coordination
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to deliver cohesive care plans
• Administer medications and treatments following ACLS/PALS/BLS/TNCC protocols
• Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the medical record
• Respond promptly to codes and critical events, demonstrating strong clinical judgment
• Participate in competency testing and skills validation to maintain excellence in practice

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure with License/Certificate Verification (able to meet state requirements)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• Ability to pass Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Must meet occupational health requirements including fit test, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, influenza vaccine, TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA), Varicella, Tdap, physical/health statement, and drug screen
• Comfortable and experienced in managing ER holds and high-acuity emergency patients

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency department nursing and triage skills
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking in acute settings
• Proficiency with BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC protocols
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
• Ability to maintain documentation and follow regulatory compliance
• Competency in specialty-specific skills validated by Trinity testing
