Contract Type: Per-Diem

Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate respiratory care and assessments for patients of all ages
Administer respiratory treatments and therapies according to physician orders
Monitor patient response and document clinical findings accurately
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Perform equipment checks and ensure all respiratory devices are maintained and ready
Participate in orientation and training to uphold high standards of care

Qualifications

Active Respiratory Therapist credential (CRT or RRT) or equivalent
Eligible for or holding Washington state respiratory licensure
Current BLS certification; additional certifications a plus
Comfortable working in a pediatric-focused environment (Shriners facility)
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Ability to complete required orientation and credentialing prior to start

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent relevant education

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with common respiratory therapy equipment and monitoring devices
Knowledge of airway management, oxygen therapy, and aerosolized medication delivery
Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and care planning
Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across disciplines
Detail-oriented when it comes to infection control and equipment safety
