Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilator settings and titrate support for critically ill patients with confidence
• Perform ABG analysis and interpret results to guide respiratory interventions
• Provide BiPAP/CPAP management, oxygen therapy, and advanced noninvasive support
• Operate and troubleshoot Hamilton C6 and PB-980 ventilators and adjunct respiratory devices
• Deliver compassionate patient assessments and document care accurately in Meditech Expanse
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about home O2, inhalation therapies, and equipment use
• Participate in unit competencies, maintain certifications, and support continuous quality improvement

Qualifications

• Active RRT or CRT licensure (state licensure required)
• Credentialed and active member of NBRC
• Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience (acute care preferred)
• Current ACLS and BLS required; PALS and NRP required per unit guidelines
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Strong documentation skills in electronic health records (Meditech Expanse preferred)

Education

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with Hamilton C6 and PB-980 ventilators
• Familiarity with Vapotherm, Airvo, V60 BiPAP, and Bubble CPAP
• Skilled in ABG analysis, ventilator management, and BiPAP management
• Comfortable with home O2 qualification processes and CPT vest therapy
• Proficient with HiFlo devices and basic EKG rhythm recognition
• Solid patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and clear documentation practices
