Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and independently admit ventilated neonatal and pediatric patients using Servo-U and Drager VN500 ventilators
• Set up and administer heliox therapy and manage both invasive and non-invasive respiratory support
• Provide non-invasive ventilation care including BiPAP and CPAP, and neonatal Bubble CPAP management
• Perform and manage high-frequency ventilation modalities such as HFOV and HFJV when indicated
• Administer and monitor nitric oxide therapy and Vaportherm support as required
• Document patient care accurately and timely in Epic, ensuring clear communication across the care team
• Collaborate with NICU/PICU multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and family education
• Maintain patient safety and high standards of respiratory care through evidence-based practice

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• PALS certification (required)
• Minimum 1+ year Neonatal ICU or PICU Critical Care experience (required)
• Hands-on experience with Servo-U and Drager VN500 ventilators
• Proven experience with HFOV, HFJV, Bubble CPAP, heliox therapy, nitric oxide, BiPAP/CPAP
• Comfortable and accurate Epic documentation experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation and ventilator management across neonatal and pediatric patients
• Non-invasive ventilation techniques and troubleshooting
• High-frequency ventilation (HFOV, HFJV) and advanced neonatal respiratory support
• Familiarity with Bubble CPAP and Vaportherm modalities
• Heliox therapy administration and monitoring
• Strong clinical documentation skills in Epic
• Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced critical care environments
