Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered telemetry nursing care during night shifts
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses thoroughly in the EMR
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
• Escalate concerns and coordinate transfers when higher levels of care are needed

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license (California license recommended)
• Telemetry experience or comfort with continuous cardiac monitoring
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or available per facility policy
• Strong assessment, prioritization and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently on night shifts and communicate effectively with team members
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and standard telemetry equipment

Education

• Nursing degree (ADN or BSN) — program completion required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Knowledge of IV medication administration and safety practices
• Familiarity with emergency response protocols and escalation workflows
• Effective patient education and bedside communication skills
• Ability to triage, prioritize and manage multiple patients on night shift
