Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with unit standards
• Perform thorough assessments and create timely, accurate nursing documentation
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely following protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Michigan RN or compact licensure eligible
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications preferred
• Clinical experience preferred (acute care/medical-surgical, telemetry, or specialty experience a plus)
• Strong assessment skills, clinical judgment, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pass required background checks, drug screens, and health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation best practices
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities
• Time management, critical thinking, and adaptability in dynamic clinical settings
