Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to pediatric patients in the PICU
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor patient status closely and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately according to protocols
• Educate and support families through critical care experiences with clarity and empathy
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain and expand PICU competencies
• Document care and communicate handoffs clearly to ensure continuity and safety

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with active Massachusetts licensure or ability to obtain MA license
• Clinical experience or clear interest in pediatric critical care (PICU)
• Current BLS certification; PALS/ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-based critical care environment
• Willingness to complete required orientation as noted in the posting

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong pediatric critical care knowledge and assessment skills
• Experience with ventilator management and advanced monitoring preferred
• Effective communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Medication administration accuracy and familiarity with PICU protocols
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
