Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients
• Prepare the operating room and equipment for scheduled cases
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure infection control standards are met
• Accurately document care and case details in the patient record
• Support patients and families with clear, empathetic communication before and after procedures

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (state licensure required — Ohio licensure expected for on-site work)
• Experience or interest in operating room nursing, ideally with pediatric cases
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Comfort with sterile technique, perioperative standards, and OR workflow
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Willingness to attend orientation and onboarding as required

• Pediatric perioperative care and patient-centered approach
• Operating room setup, instrumentation basics, and sterile field maintenance
• Intraoperative patient safety and monitoring principles
• Electronic medical record documentation and case logging
• Team communication, situational awareness, and adaptability in the OR
