Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Neuro Stepdown (SDU) patients
Monitor and interpret patient telemetry and neuro assessments to detect changes early
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to create and execute care plans
Document patient care accurately and communicate updates clearly during handoffs
Respond promptly to acute changes and assist in emergency interventions when needed
Teach and support patients and families about condition management and discharge planning

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential (facility may require Louisiana licensure or eligibility)
Experience in Neuro Stepdown or Stepdown Unit (SDU) nursing preferred
Comfort and stamina for 12+ hour clinical shifts
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Facility-required certifications and training as applicable (e.g., BLS) — facility will specify

Knowledge of neuro patient assessment and stepdown care principles
Skilled in patient monitoring, documentation, and delegation
Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Familiarity with unit-based workflows and patient safety protocols
