Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the unit
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the chart
• Support discharge planning and patient education to promote recovery
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based projects

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or eligible to obtain
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or obtainable
• Clinical nursing experience on med-surg or telemetry units preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently on per-diem shifts and integrate with established teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of med-surg and telemetry patient care principles
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Effective patient and family education skills
• Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage complex patient loads
