Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care as a Registered Nurse on the Mobile Stroke Team
• Rapidly assess patients presenting with stroke-like symptoms and communicate findings clearly
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, maintaining meticulous documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate timely interventions
• Educate patients and families about care plans and next steps in a calm, reassuring manner
• Escalate urgent changes in patient status and support smooth transitions of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (California) required
• Experience working in acute care, emergency, neurology, or stroke-focused settings preferred
• Familiarity with Mobile Stroke Team (MST) workflows or similar rapid-response teams is a plus
• Current BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or willing to obtain
• Clear clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently on night shifts

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, neurological exams, and stroke recognition
• Comfortable with IV medication administration and emergency interventions
• Strong documentation habits and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Ability to multitask in fast-paced situations and prioritize urgent needs
• Excellent teamwork and communication with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff
