Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg pediatric patients with compassion and clinical skill
• Assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, and document thoroughly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient response
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and family members
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
• Respond to changes in patient condition promptly and escalate concerns appropriately
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license for Washington State
• Clinical experience in Med/Surg and/or pediatrics preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) encouraged
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to a dynamic clinical environment
• Willingness to complete facility orientation

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing practices and pediatric care principles
• Proficiency with patient assessment, medication administration, and charting
• Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong family-centered care approach
