Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on a Med/Surg unit
• Perform thorough assessments, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary team members to ensure smooth transitions
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record documentation

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications welcomed
• Prior Med/Surg nursing experience preferred and highly valued
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and teamwork mindset
• Comfortable with medication administration, IV therapy, and patient education

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment skills and ability to prioritize care for multiple patients
• Competency in medication safety and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation best practices
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management, critical thinking, and a calm approach under pressure
