Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor remote telemetry and accurately interpret cardiac strips to keep patients safe
• Manage cardiac drips including amiodarone, diltiazem and heparin infusions with vigilance
• Provide skilled post-operative and med-surg nursing care for adult patients
• Document patient assessments and care clearly and efficiently in MediTech EMR
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain patient safety and advocate for appropriate staffing and resources

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Colorado or compact preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; med-surg/telemetry experience preferred
• Proven ability to read telemetry strips - required
• ACLS certification preferred and current BLS expected
• Experience with MediTech EMR or similar electronic charting systems
• Comfort managing cardiac drips and post-op surgical patients
• High-energy, team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) with RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry interpretation and remote monitoring systems
• Cardiac drip management and heparin infusion protocols
• Post-op med-surg patient care best practices
• Proficiency with MediTech EMR documentation
• Prioritization, critical thinking and bedside assessment skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy unit
