Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents in the rehab center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor patient status and promptly report changes to the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to create and implement care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain infection control standards and a safe care environment

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license (Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse) — New Mexico licensure or eligibility required
• Comfort and ability to work overnight 12.5-hour shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
• Recent clinical experience in inpatient, rehab, or long-term care settings preferred
• Current BLS certification preferred; other certifications a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a collaborative team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, diploma, or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration and accurate documentation
• Familiarity with rehab/long-term care workflows and protocols
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly in urgent situations
