Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess critically ill patients and prioritize care using clinical judgment
• Monitor hemodynamics, ventilator settings, and complex infusions
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage advanced therapies safely
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and follow care plans
• Respond to rapid changes and emergent situations with calm, decisive action
• Document patient status, interventions, and clinical changes accurately and promptly
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Advocate for patient safety and maintain ICU standards of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (California) or eligible to obtain one
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required or must obtain per employer policy
• Previous ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Comfortable with high-acuity patients, critical thinking, and fast-paced environments

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program and clinical training

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of ventilator management and respiratory support
• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and central line care
• Familiarity with titratable drips and complex medication administration
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in critical care settings
