Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (specific start/end times and exact days to be confirmed; RN - ICU)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for ICU patients
Assess, monitor and document patients’ hemodynamic and respiratory status
Administer medications, manage infusions and support ventilator care
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and changes in patient condition

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or compact RN license as applicable
Experience or clinical background in adult ICU care preferred
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) highly recommended
Comfort with critical care equipment (ventilators, hemodynamic monitors) and complex medication administration
Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and prioritization
Ventilator management basics and respiratory support
Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
IV medication/infusion management and titration
Accurate charting and documentation in electronic medical records
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in fast-paced environments
