Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts; specific start/end times and scheduled days not specified (RN - ICU)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
Assess, monitor and document patient status, vital signs and interventions
Administer medications, titrate drips and manage ventilators per orders
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans
Educate patients and families with compassion and clear communication
Respond to emergencies and prioritize interventions in high-acuity situations
Participate in unit safety initiatives and continuous quality improvement

Qualifications

Active RN license (state licensure required; Hawaii licensure required for on-site work)
ICU experience preferred; prior critical care clinical experience strongly encouraged
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willing to obtain promptly)
Strong assessment skills, proficiency with ICU monitors and vent management
Excellent communication, teamwork and critical thinking abilities

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and titratable IV drips
Familiarity with ventilator management and respiratory support
Proven ability to prioritize care in fast-paced, high-acuity settings
Skilled in electronic health record documentation and charting
Strong infection control and patient safety practices
Compassionate bedside manner and effective family-centered communication
