Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and stabilize patients presenting to the emergency department with urgency, accuracy, and compassion
• Provide advanced life support and critical interventions using BLS, ACLS and PALS skills as appropriate
• Perform trauma and emergency nursing care following TNCC principles and facility protocols
• Manage ED holds when necessary, coordinating with inpatient teams to ensure safe transitions
• Document patient care clearly and promptly in the electronic medical record and complete required competency checklists
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, support staff, and ancillary services to optimize patient flow
• Participate in unit-based quality initiatives, infection control practices, and safety checks (fit test, respirator evaluation)

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (license verification required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications
• Experience or comfort working in an Emergency Department environment and handling ED holds as needed
• Completion of Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist as required
• Up-to-date immunizations and fit test / respirator evaluation per facility policy
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to work nights and function well in a fast-paced team environment

• Trauma nursing principles (TNCC)
• Electronic medical record documentation and timely charting
