Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting to the Emergency Department with urgency and compassion
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency situations
• Administer medications, start/maintain IVs, and perform necessary procedures per protocol
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans with clarity and empathy
• Participate in unit-based improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire (NH) or eligibility for state licensure
• Emergency nursing experience preferred; prior ED/ER experience strongly valued
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Strong clinical assessment skills, ability to prioritize, and comfort in urgent care settings
• Current ACLS/BLS and any facility-required certifications upon hire

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency patient assessment
• IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care skills
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
• Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple critical patients
• Clear communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care approach
• Familiarity with emergency protocols, sepsis screening, and trauma response
