Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Rapidly assess, triage, and stabilize patients in the emergency department
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and efficiently
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the care team
• Document care accurately and timely in the medical record
• Participate in orientation, department training, and quality improvement activities
• Maintain patient safety, infection control practices, and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Current, active RN licensure (eligible to practice in New Hampshire; compact licensure accepted if applicable)
• Experience or strong interest in Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or obtainable
• Current ACLS recommended for ED roles; willingness to complete during orientation if needed
• Strong clinical judgment, solid assessment skills, and the ability to work in fast-paced settings
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing assessment and triage best practices
• Acute care interventions, medication administration, and IV/line management
• Ability to prioritize multiple patients and adapt to changing conditions
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clear clinical documentation
• Patient and family education during high-stress situations
• Basic knowledge of trauma and critical care principles relevant to the ED
