Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered emergency nursing care to a diverse population
• Rapidly assess and triage patients to determine acuity and immediate needs
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and according to protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver timely care
• Document clinical findings and interventions clearly in the electronic medical record
• Respond to trauma and critical events with calm, decisive action
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, care plans, and safe discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or ability to obtain licensure prior to start
• Experience or background in Emergency Department nursing (Emergency Nursing core skill)
• Current BLS; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to perform rapid assessments, prioritize care, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of relevant certifications (BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing assessment and triage skills
• Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, and acute interventions
• Familiarity with ACLS/BLS protocols and emergency workflows
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and documenting care accurately
• Critical thinking, adaptability, and effective teamwork under pressure
