Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Stabilize and manage acute medical and traumatic conditions in a fast-paced ED
• Administer time-sensitive treatments such as TNK and assist with intubations
• Perform bedside procedures including lumbar punctures, laceration repair/suture removal, and splinting
• Document patient care thoroughly and efficiently in the Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, medics, PCTs and the care team to coordinate patient flow
• Advocate for patients, anticipate needs, and help maintain a 4:1 patient ratio safely

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• TNCC and ENPC (must have by start date)
• ACLS and BLS required
• Minimum 1 year of emergency nursing experience (greater than 2 years preferred)
• Experience using Meditech (EMR) preferred
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to anticipate departmental and patient needs

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing fundamentals and triage best practices
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR documentation
• Clinical procedures: intubation, lumbar puncture (LP), TNK administration, laceration repair/suture removal, splinting
• Critical thinking and rapid decision-making under pressure
• Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
