Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care for adult and pediatric patients in a busy freestanding ED
• Rapidly assess, triage and stabilize patients — your critical thinking will save time and lives
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers and the care team to develop and execute patient plans
• Perform and document nursing interventions, monitor patient status, and prepare patients for transfer or discharge
• Maintain compliance with credentialing and documentation requirements, including demographic data and badge photo submission
• Participate in orientation and training at Grady to ensure consistent, excellent patient care across sites

Qualifications

• Current experience as an Emergency Department RN (ED RN) — must be comfortable with both adult and pediatric patients
• Minimum 4 years of well-rounded adult and pediatric emergency nursing experience (explicit requirement)
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required
• TNCC and/or ENPC preferred — these trauma/ED pediatric certifications will make your application stand out
• Conditional compliance allowed for credentialing that is proven to be in process
• Willingness to complete demographic/badge photo upload and participate in Grady-based orientation/training

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency department nursing skills and clinical judgment
• Proficiency in adult and pediatric assessment and stabilization
• Comfort managing high-acuity cases and working effectively under pressure
• Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with ED protocols, triage, and rapid decision-making
• Basic life support and advanced cardiac/pediatric life support skills (BLS/ACLS/PALS)
