Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced, high-volume ED, managing acuity up to behavioral holds
• Monitor cardiac status and manage cardiac monitoring equipment to ensure patient safety
• Administer medications and therapies using Baxter pumps and other unit equipment with precision
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner and keep boards updated to communicate status
• Deliver exceptional patient experience using AIDET and continuous communication throughout the visit
• Coach and mentor team members in real time, offering feedback that improves care and teamwork
• Adapt to changing patient volumes and priorities while maintaining professionalism and calm

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as a nurse, with at least 1 year of ER experience
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or a very high-volume ED preferred
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Current RN license (required)
• Certifications required before start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire
• Strong teamwork skills, coaching ability, and flexibility to work across ED sections

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Cerner documentation system
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and interpreting telemetry
• Experience with Baxter infusion pumps and GE monitoring equipment
• Triage and emergency assessment skills for high-volume settings
• Excellent communication skills for patient experience and team coordination
• Ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback to colleagues
