Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts; specific start/end times and workdays not provided; ED/ER (12.5-hour)

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients
Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize care for diverse acute presentations
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — ability to obtain Hawaii licensure required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
Prior emergency department (ED/ER) experience preferred; new grads with strong ED clinical rotations encouraged to apply
Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
Ability to manage rapid patient turnover and prioritize effectively
Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
Comfort working in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
