Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care for adult and pediatric patients in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU)
Perform thorough assessments, triage, and monitoring to support rapid clinical decision-making
Collaborate with ED and CDU teams to coordinate patient flow and safe dispositions
Participate in orientation and training sessions at Grady to ensure consistency of care at the new freestanding ED
Maintain accurate patient documentation and upload required demographic and badge photo information promptly
Support credentialing processes and meet compliance requirements, including conditional compliance when credentials are in process

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Minimum 4 years of well-rounded adult and pediatric nursing experience
BLS, ACLS and PALS required
TNCC and/or ENPC preferred
Ability to complete onboarding tasks including loading demographic info and badge-appropriate photo
Comfort working in fast-paced emergency/observation settings and adapting to new site openings

Knowledge & Skills

Strong emergency nursing and CDU/observation care experience
Pediatric and adult assessment, triage, and stabilization skills
Excellent clinical decision-making and prioritization under pressure
Proficient documentation and electronic health record usage
Clear communication and teamwork across multidisciplinary teams
Familiarity with ED workflows, patient flow, and disposition planning
Credentialing and compliance awareness
