Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Surgery
Location: Houston, TX

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate during complex cardiac and vascular procedures
- Assist with open and endovascular vascular surgeries
- Support Type A dissections, thoracoabdominal cases, sternotomies, CABG/AVR/MVR, and TAVR procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons and the CVOR team in a fast-paced environment
- Provide exceptional patient care during emergencies and high-pressure situations
- Float between Main OR, Cath Lab, and IR as needed to support patient care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas or compact license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of exclusive CVOR experience
- Experience scrubbing and circulating in cardiac and vascular surgery
- Ability to work well under pressure in emergencies
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong CVOR experience in cardiac and vascular surgery
- Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating
- Comfortable with complex procedures including VSD repair, Impella/ECMO insertion, and aortic repairs
- Team player who thrives in fast-paced settings
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
