Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, minimum three shifts per week with rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver expert ventilator and BiPAP management to patients in critical care and emergency settings
Perform aerosol treatments and support advanced procedures like intubation and arterial line insertion
Assist with bedside bronchoscopy to help diagnose and treat patients effectively
Rotate through all inpatient units and two 10-bed ICUs, keeping every day fresh and engaging
Collaborate daily with nurses, physicians, and the full care team to optimize patient outcomes
Use cutting-edge equipment such as Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators and Vapotherm to provide top-tier care

Qualifications

Active Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience in critical care or emergency settings
Comfortable working with ventilators, BiPAP, and advanced respiratory equipment

Knowledge & Skills

Strong ventilator and BiPAP management skills
Experience with intubation assistance and arterial line insertion
Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
Ability to float across multiple inpatient units and ICUs
Excellent communication and teamwork within an interdisciplinary environment
