Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to critically ill newborns
• Monitor and assess neonatal patients, adjusting care plans as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists
• Educate and support families through the NICU journey
• Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform procedures with precision

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Virginia or compact
• BLS and NRP certification required
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
• Proficiency with ventilators, incubators, and monitoring equipment
• Excellent communication and emotional support skills
• Team collaboration and adaptability
• Knowledge of evidence-based neonatal care practices
