Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures and treatments
• Prepare patients for braces, aligners, and other orthodontic appliances
• Take and process dental X-rays and impressions
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized operatory
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and care of orthodontic appliances
• Ensure a positive and comfortable experience for every patient

Qualifications

• Certification as a Dental Assistant in Maryland preferred
• X-ray certification required
• Experience in orthodontics is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Skill in patient care and customer service
• Familiarity with dental software and digital records
• Attention to detail and infection control standards
