Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to mothers and newborns during labor and delivery
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, responding swiftly to changes
• Assist with deliveries, including cesarean sections, and provide immediate newborn care
• Educate and support families through the birthing process and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure safe outcomes

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Knowledge of obstetric emergencies and interventions
• Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
