Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities
• Lead, guide, and direct speech language pathology services in accordance with facility policies and regulations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive resident care
• Conduct assessments and provide evidence-based therapy to enhance quality of life
• Educate patients, families, and staff on communication strategies and swallowing safety

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Speech Language Pathology experience required
• Long Term Care or Rehabilitation experience required
• Active Missouri State License required
• CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) certified SLP required
• Valid driver's license required
• Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations and long-term care guidelines

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in swallowing, cognitive, and communication disorders
• Ability to develop and adapt treatment plans for diverse patient needs
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Familiarity with skilled nursing facility procedures and regulations
• Patient-centered approach with a focus on functional outcomes
